PLEASE HELP US HONOR JIM CALLAGHAN AT THE SRC TEN MILE BREWERY RUN

Our hearts go out to Jennifer Callaghan and all the family and many friends of Jim Callaghan who unfortunately passed away  while out for a run on the morning of January 16th. Jim and his wife Jennifer were members of the Greater Long Island Running Club and “Team Selden Hills” and the two of them had volunteered to help out on the ten mile course on Saturday. “He was someone who inspired others to set goals and to live each day to the fullest.”

The Race will have a moment of silence before the start on Saturday morning in his memory and the Selden Hills group will be wearing their team colors with a black armband or a photo of Jim pinned to their singlet. Please help us honor him.

Jim was only 49 years old.

Jim was a fine gentleman and loved running our hills with his fellow warriors. His passing is a tremendous loss to us but especially to his wife, Jennifer, and his children. We will never forget his keen wit and dry humor. Look down on us and protect us in our running journey my friend.
