This class, given by the Stony Brook Heart Institute Nurse Educators, is a community Hands on CPR course using manikins. Participants will learn how to do chest compressions on adults, children and infants as well as how to use an AED. Participants will also learn how to respond to a choking emergency. It is an American Heart Association Class, the title of the program is Heartsaver/AED. The class is free but, if interested, participants can receive an American Heart Association Certification Card which is good for 2 years, which would be a $10 fee and the card would be mailed to them in approximately 2 weeks.

Next classes are Thursday, January 16,2014 at 6pm, Monday, February 24, 2014 4pm & Wednesday, March 26, 2014 @ 4pm. All participants must be registered. No walk-ins but same day registration may be possible.
